CA Inter - Cost And Management Accounting (CMA) Course
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has notified the new scheme of education and training on 1 July 2023. The first set of examinations under the new scheme will be conducted in May 2024.
CA intermediate syllabus includes Cost and Management Accounting as Paper-4 in Group II (first paper of group II). The exam is of 100 marks bifurcated as follows:
- 70 marks for subjective questions
- 30 marks for objective questions (30 questions of 1 mark each; negative marking of 0.25 marks)
The objective of the subject is to:
i.) Develop an understanding of the basic concepts and applications to establish the cost associated with the production of products and provision of services and apply the same to determine prices.
ii.) Develop an understanding of the cost accounting statements.
iii.) Acquire the ability to apply information for cost ascertainment, planning, control and decision making.
The student, while studying this subject in CA inter will understand the concept and scope of cost and management accounting, the requirement and use of the information obtained by applying the appropriate costing system.
This subject is one of the most scoring subject for CA inter examination which can help the students in clearing the CA inter examination as well as securing a rank in the CA inter examination.
